In the wake of  much controversy surrounding citizenship, residency, immigration, and other travel-related matters, it is easy to become preoccupied with “the issues” and forget about the facts. While liberals tend to reject and protest the majority of the current President’s policies regarding aliens, conservatives have their own viewpoints and reasons for supporting them.

But what does all of this mean? And to what extent does it matter?

It means that politicians and others involved in the political process are having a difficult time finding a “middle ground” on very important issues. Meanwhile, the facts of many rights violations–perpetrated against people of all skin colors–continue to take place.

According to Article 1 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, “All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. They are endowed with reason and conscience and should act towards one another in a spirit of brotherhood”. Unfortunately, in today’s world, this does not always happen. But it could.

While governments are busy creating policies that tell humans how to interact with and treat one another, we ourselves could rely upon our own internal sense of moral character and integrity to accomplish the same ends.

Though some form of government is important to have, it is equally important that there be clear-cut limitations and restrictions upon it. Because a government left free to do as it pleases will eventually get out of control.

The Common Law Office of Mrs. Tamah Jada Clark is working help improve the quality of life for all Americans. The Common Law Office (TCLO) understands the importance of making government work for the people, instead of the people being made subservient to government.
